Tour Plans

  • Day 1

    KATHMANDU ARRIVAL

    Arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Welcome by our office representative and transfer to Hotel. Further program briefing in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 2

    KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING

    Kathmandu city sightseeing in the morning (Pashupatinath & Budhanilakantha). Afternoon shopping & preparation for the trip. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 3

    KATHMANDU TO LHASA

    After the breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu Airport and fly to Lhasa (3650m). On arrival at Lhasa Airport, welcome by our office representative and transfer to the Hotel. Free day for acclimatization. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 4

    LHASA SIGHTSEEING

    After the breakfast we will proceed to visit Potala Palace, Sear Monastery, Drepung Monastery and Jokhang Temple. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 5

    LHASA – SIGASTE (270KM/5 HRS)

    After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Shigatse (3,850m), the second largest city in Tibet. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Later in the afternoon, visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the biggest and most important monasteries in Tibet. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 6

    SIGASTE – LHATSE- SAGA (500KM/9 HRS)

    After breakfast, drive to Saga (4,500m) via Lhatse. The road from Kathmandu/Kyirong also joins in Saga. Saga city is situated on the bank of the holy River Brahmaputra. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 7

    SAGA-DONGBA-PARYANG-MANSAROVAR (4560M/480KM/7 HRS)

    After the breakfast, drive to Mansarovar via Dongba and Paryang. From the check point we will do parikrama and holy bath in Lake Mansarovar. Overnight at Guesthouse.

  • Day 8

    MANSAROVAR TO DARCHEN (4620M/40KM)

    In the morning perform Puja, Hawan and holy bath in Lake Mansarovar. After having lunch, drive to Darchen for about one hour. Darchen is base camp of Mt. Kailash and from there you can see south face of Kailsh Parvat. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 9

    DARCHEN TO DIRAPHUK (4860M/6 HRS)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Yamadwar (8 km). From Yamadwar, we start the parikrama. Those who are booking horses will go by horse ride, and others will start the trek to Diraphuk, about 5–6 hours. Those who are unable to trek will have darshan of Yamadwar and Kailash Parvat and drive back to Darchen for night halt. From Diraphuk, you will have a close view of Kailash North Face. Overnight at the guesthouse.

  • Day 10

    DIRAPHUK –DOLMA LA PASS (5630M) –GAURIKUNDA LAKE – ZUTHULPHUK (4760M/9-10 HRS)

    Second day of kora (parikrama). Because of the long journey, we will have a light breakfast and start our trek to Zuthulphuk (4,760m) via the Dolma-La Pass. Because of unpredictable weather, we have to start our journey as early as possible. While crossing the Dolma-La Pass, we can view Gaurikund Lake. Overnight at the guesthouse.

  • Day 11

    ZUTHULPHUK –DARCHEN –SAGA (500KM)

    This day we will complete our Parikrama (Kora) of Mt. Kailash. Early in the morning, trek to Darchen. After having breakfast at Darchen hotel, drive back to Saga, which takes about 7 hours. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 12

    SAGA LHATSE -SIGASTE (500KM)

    After breakfast, drive to Shigatse. Rest of the time is free, roam around and explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 13

    SIGATSE TO LHASA (270KM)

    After breakfast, drive to Lhasa. Rest of the time is free for shopping or individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 14

    LHASA –KATHMANDU

    After the breakfast drive to Lhasa Airport and fly to Kathmandu. Rest of the time is free for shopping or individual activities. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 15

    FINAL DEPARTURE

    Last day of the tour, transfer to Airport for onward journey.

Since Kailash Manasarovar situated at very high altitude place, those who are willing to travel Kailash Mansarovar, they should be plan properly and consult their family physician and get the following tests done. E.C.G., Blood Pressure, Hemoglobin, Blood Sugar etc. Apart from all these tests, the pilgrims are advised to start morning and evening walk, jogging, stretching, meditation and regular exercise in order to be in physically fit condition.
